Summit of Mt. Adams

This is an overly pretentious picture, but I thought it looked pretty cool. I climbed Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Hellen's and Mt. Hood in May and June. The mountains were not super technical, but definitely grinding and enduring. They were great introductions to the mountaineering experience.

Hi Matt,
I enjoyed your pics and reading your letter on your blog.
Good luck to you as you head into this mission.
I received my ticket to India today, so I guess I'll be leaving on Sept. 3rd.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying my daughter from England and her two children. This is her first trip home in 16 yrs. She will leave the last day of July.
It's getting ready to storm here so I'll sign off.
God's peace follow you where ever you go.
Lynn

Hey Matt,
Nice job on the blog. It's looking great. I hope that you had a good flight over to Jo-burg. Can't wait to "hear" how things are going!

Hello Matthew!
We have never met, but I am your second cousin Kathy. Your dad, Steven and I are first cousins. You may have heard him talk about his 'Aunt Olsea' and I am one of her daughters. I recently received an email from your dad with some news updates on family activies and he passed along your blog address. You've done a nice job on the blog! I'm trying to get my husbad Scott to create one for our family. I'd love to hear more about your time in South Aftica. Scott and I are going on a South Aftican safari this November...can't wait!
Take care!
